INDEPENDENT WOMEN IN HOSPITALITY

PURPOSE
Independent Women In Hospitality networking with other women in the hospitality industry to foster friendships and business relationships while having a great time together.

IWIH's foundation is based on friendships brought together through a career in hospitality, travel and tourism. Whether you are a waitress, housekeeping attendant, bartender, sales manager, linen provider, airline attendant or an executive… we are bonded through our dedication to great customer service. It gives us a reason to get together once a month, clink our glasses together and enjoy getting to know one another. If you miss the get-together for one month, don’t stress. When you are in hospitality, the one things you can count on is change and things come up! Just come to the next one!

I really started this organization because when I moved from Atlanta to Orlando, I had one friend that lived here. In Atlanta it seemed easier to meet people... I believe that is because of all of the different organizations and corporations that are based there that bring people together. So, let's start our own association!

Here in Orlando, we are hospitality-focused with majority of people in the city at any one time being visitors and tourists. Through work, you have little oppportunity to get to know people outside of your department. Different work schedules, titles and life sometimes gets in the way of meeting a really good person that could be a great friend. This organization allows you to disregard titles and just get to know other women.

My vision is to grow this organization to include fundraisers, education, exciting trips and other experiences to enhance the purpose of our membership.

Where:            It will change each month
What:               Networking, food, drink and fun
How:                Sign up to be a charter member of this association and we will all put our heads together to make it happen!

Our first meeting will be held on __________________________ beginning at 6pm at Press 101 in Dr. Phillips. Please let me know if you are able to make it! Also… let me know if you want to come, but possibly have a conflict.
